Time for a Spring RefreshArt work
We’re home from the Toronto Spring Gift Fair and can’t wait to share our top-picks and tips for bringing a spring refresh to your stores and design projects. Let’s go!
January is market month. Buyers across Canada have been madly shopping markets in Atlanta, Vegas and Toronto, making it through long lines for coffee and snapping up new products. Spring is the perfect season to bring new ideas, styles and trends to your customers because, after a long Canadian winter (did you hear Vancouver had snow?!) consumers are looking to refresh their homes with stylish furniture and accessories.
Here’s what buyers are loving for Spring 2019
1. Go Green
Canada is obsessed with plants. Our Circa planters were a top-seller in Toronto and one of our most pinned products on Pinterest over the last month. Their sleek and elegant mid-mod profile fits seamlessly into a variety of interiors. Easy to display at retail, just pop in a gorgeous faux plant and merchandise alongside your sofas or occasional chairs.

2. Get a new sidekick
3. Creature Comfort
Whimsical prints of llamas, raccoons, and other farm and forest friends are a top seller across the country. Whether your customers love their adorable faces or are just animal fanatics like us, these art collections add whimsy to our spaces and frankly, we could all use a little more of that.
With more homes being built open concept, wall space is at a premium. Help your customers think off the wall. Give them styling options like propping and stacking art on mantles, nestling smaller pieces on top of dressers and buffets, or

4. Bouclé is the hit fabric for Spring
You heard it here … bouclé (/bo͞oˈklā/) is about to be everywhere!
We introduced our Evan and Everest chairs in bouclé at the Toronto show and we sold out – but don’t worry – they’ll be back in stock soon.
This fabric has a pretty interesting history that all starts with the incomparable Coco Chanel. Back in the 1930s, Coco set the fashion world on fire with the introduction of tweed couture jackets. By the 1950s she was experimenting with a buckled tweed that we now know as bouclé. It was that fabric that created the iconic Chanel jacket made famous by Jackie Kennedy.
Today, bouclé is making a major comeback with style influencers and icons gushing all over this cozy and easy-to-clean fabric for the home.

Your customers will love options to add fresh new looks to their homes this spring. Whether they need something quick and easy like stylish accent tables or planters, want to make a bigger statement with on-trend bouclé chairs or fancy some new art, a spring refresh is in order!
