Volunteering At Aunt Leah’s Christmas Tree Lot

All of us had such a great time this past week volunteering at Aunt Leah’s Christmas Tree Lot. It was our second year helping out, and neither the cold nor rain could not dampen our spirits! A bulk of Aunt Leah’s yearly fundraising comes from the donations they receive at their tree lots. Last year they raised over $100,000 that goes directly to helping prevent foster kids from becoming homeless and young mothers in need from losing custody of their children. Volunteering at one of their Tree Lots is a great activity to do with family, friends or coworkers and you get to meet the happiest, most excited people searching for that perfect Christmas Tree. We’ll definitely sign up to do it again next year!

This year we were at the Eagle Ridge United Church in Coquitlam (2813 Glen Drive) not far from Coquitlam Center. You can find a full list of their Christmas Tree lots here. It’s not too late to volunteer or to buy your tree from Aunt Leah’s. Lots are open every day until December 22nd. Contact volunteer coordinator Chloe Dunn at 604-525-1204 if you would like to help out and make a positive difference in the lives of at risk foster kids.
