Step into Spring – Over the Taupe Guest PostGuest Post
A huge thanks to my friends at Style In Form for opening their doors for me on a rainy weekend for a personal showroom tour! While I may have fallen in love with everything in store, the following 7 are my favourites.
Why I love it: Storage beds are an effortless solution for space-savings. The mechanism on the low-profile bed frame lifts with ease, so there is no hesitation when it comes to storing everyday items underneath for quick accessibility. Space is hard to come by in Vancouver, but the Trudeau is a square footage maximizer and a winner in my books.
Why I love it: The juxtaposition of the old and new, proportioning with the industrial chunky elements in the legs, and the salvaged gray finish on the wood. It creates a beautiful West coast look and the Suar wood (also known as a Rain tree…very fitting!) is a fast-growing tree, making it a more sustainable option.
Why I love it: These mid-century modern chairs are timeless. Versatility is key and the Cricket and Curve can be placed with a mix of furniture pieces and a mix of finishes – chrome, glass, wood etc. while still maintaining a classic look. They can be dressed up, or down, in a dining room setting, or as occasional chairs around a cafe table. Options are always good!
Why I love it: The mirrored panels, facets and line detailing are glamorous from the surface, right down to the feet. Beyond the elaborate knobs, doors and drawer, the piece works double time, with plenty of storage. The Sol Vintage Cabinet almost looks too beautiful to be true, but it gets better. Word on the street is that we will be seeing it soon with gold accents! (shhh.)
Why I love it: “Constant use had not worn ragged the fabric of their friendship” – Dorothy Parker. Finished in linen with walnut legs and grey with espresso legs, don’t be afraid, let the Cliff Dining Chairs thread together the fabric of your everlasting furniture friendship!
Why I love it: The mixtures of different materials in this coffee table give it a casual shabby-chic feel, with an updated look given by the glass top. This is a sneak peak of what could be the newest addition to the Natura Collection (you didn’t hear it from me!).
7. Why I love it: I saved the best for the last with this one! The character from the shapes, textures, burls and colour variation is so appealing to me. Because of the natural, solid teak, it’s unique and one-of-a-kind. What’s not to love?
